     The Montreal Jazz Showroom started out of my personal desire to buy a new amplifier for my various jazz guitars. Realizing that there were NO stores in the Montreal/Quebec area selling jazz amps, I was forced to buy my gear on the internet, but would have much preferred to have had the chance to try out various amps with my guitars, without having to drive 7 hours, either to the Toronto area, or to New York City, or New Jersey (the closest locations to demo various amps).


     The more I thought about the situation in Montreal, and the more local musicians I talked to, I realized that I was not the only musician looking for jazz amps in Montreal. And so the seed of the Montreal Jazz Showroom was planted in my head. I opened the showroom primarily to give other Quebec musicians the chance to try and find the right match for their guitars/basses.
